Bearded Dragons in the winter

Most bearded dragons will tend to be alot less more active in the winter so I would suggest that you either Bump up the amount of heat on the lights in your pet beardies cage to make it alot more effect in heating you beardie to the right temperature. Frankie is sitting nice and warm in his new heated cage with his new Zoo Med food chillaxin like a good dragon should

Also NEVER EVER use a heat rock they will burn the belly of your bearded dragon and cause sometimes death.

Cage building

Well guys Frankie is getting a lot bigger so naturally. His cage will have to be bigger also. Right now I am in the process of building him a cage that is going to be BIG.
First off before you go out and get some plywood and start throwing together a death trap for your beardie take in to account the factors for a good dragon habitat. First off, go with glass. NO acrylic it will scratch way to easy with your beardies sharp claws and be a headache. I would stick to 1/4 inch glass for the bottom and walls. As for the top I would use some metal screen that is heat resistant. Remember that the tempature of your heath lamp will be sitting directly on this metal screen. Now for building it I would use some silicone around the edge of the glass and a metal frame to support it.

Frankie got a mouse today

Well today I bought Frankie another mouse to eat and he doesn't seem to be wanting to eat it for some weird reason. He has eaten one before as you can see in the video below. Idk whats going on with him :/ I think he may be enjoying those pellets I bought him from Petco. Well if it doesn't eat it by tomorrow I think I'll give it my buddies Boa constrictor.
